I don’t care what niche you are in or what your business is all about, one thing that I can guarantee you is that there are other people that are in the same niche competing for traffic, leads and people’s attention in general. Which is the way you want it by the way… This is what we call proof of concept and it tells you there is a market for your products.
In fact, you should be worried if virtually nobody is promoting in your niche, for it can mean two things:
- You have found something that nobody has thought of before you, which would be flippin’ awesome!
- Or… there is little potential in the market you have chosen, and so other marketers stay away from it.
Anyhoo, competition is both good AND bad.
Firstly, you know that you can build a business in your niche, because other people are already doing it.
The bad part however is that other people are doing it, which of course means that these people will be competing with you to get attention.
So the real question is:
How do you avoid being “just another dude (or dudette)”?
And truthfully, unless you know what you’re doing, it’s pretty difficult to stand out from your competition.
Think about it.
Not only are there different products out there that are pretty similar to what you have to offer, that give potential customers a wider choice.
But you are also competing with other people that are promoting the SAME offer as you are.
This goes for virtually every niche, but I see this over and over, especially in things like network marketing.
Nothing wrong with network marketing.
… but rather the fact that a lot of people mindlessly blast their affiliate links all over the interwebz.
Besides being an annoying spammer, they kill their chances by offering more of the same.
No added value
No reason to join/buy
So how do you stand out?
First, accept the fact that blasting your affiliate link isn’t going to bring results.
Only an ignorant person would believe that…
Somebody who’s wanting to get something (preferably everything) for doing almost nothing.
Not gonna happen, not even close!
Take responsibility for your own results.
That concludes my mini rant about being a wussie.
What you need to do to stand out from everybody out there is this:
Harness the power of YOU!
Your personality, your character and your style is what defines you and makes you 100% unique.
And none of your competitors can take that away from you.
They can write about your topics
They can give the same tips
Or even provide the same kind of walkthrough
… but it doesn’t matter.
Unleashing your inner badass!
So how do you absorb your inner attractiveness into your marketing?
It starts with being a “sexy” person.
Not in the physical sense, I’m talking personality here.
Be your charismatic, humorous, decisive, laid-back, cool, or otherwise awesome self.
Don’t be afraid to share your opinion, however blunt it might be.
Spineless wussies will hold back on what they think because of fear, and it’s not attracting anyone to you.
Develop your own writing style, a style that will attract the people that resonate with you.
Or… if you want to take it to the next level:
Start doing videos or even audio’s so you can build a deeper relationship with your audience faster.
Once you start using your personality as part of your marketing, you need one more thing.
Well, you need two actually.
Firstly, you need to have a way of communicating to your target audience and a way to get leads in the process.
And then you need to provide value to your readers.
Teach them something, offer a walkthrough, help people solve a problem they’re having.
Combine that with the power of you, and you’ve got a winner.
Don’t be a chicken and actually take action and put yourself out there!
To your success,
