The Self-Centered Approach
This is an approach that I see way too often in the market place.
And it’s hurting your ability to convert!

Here’s what the self-centered model is:
It’s where a blogger, marketer or salesperson keeps yapping on about themselves, their company or their product. They won’t hesitate to tell you why they’re the best in the world. You might have done the same thing before.
But here’s the problem:
Your reader or viewer doesn’t care about, they don’t care about your product or service and they don’t care about your company either!
They don’t care, until they know how you, your product or your company can help them solve their problem or answer the question that’s on their mind.
The right way of engaging people?
Instead of talking about yourself, talk about the thing your prospect wants. Talk about their problems and questions and offer them solutions!
Because that’s what your prospects care about most.
I was lucky to learn this lesson early on from my own mentors, for which I’m really grateful.
WII FM Radio
This is the radio station your prospects are tuned into.
WIIFM stands for “What’s In It For Me?” and it’s the thing that’s on your prospects’ mind most of the time.
If you want to sell me a drill, don’t talk about how great your drill is. Talk about how it’s gonna help me drill a hole in my wall faster and easier, even if you’re as clumsy as I am.
Selling a TV? Instead of talking about the Hertzes and the amount of Inches, talk about how people can watch their favorite shows in amazing quality on a screen that’s HUGE!
