Now I don’t know where you’re at right now, or if you had the level of success that you desire over the last year.
But I do know one thing.
And that’s the fact that there are three primary skills that, if you get good at and use them, you will be building your business in 2015. (Or whatever year you’re reading this in).
If you get good at these, you’ve got everything you need to succeed.
The Triad of Internet Powwa!
So what are these three skills that, when mastered, give you the key to internet marketing success?
Here they are:
* Traffic: A business without potential customers is like the beach without the sea, a TV without electricity, like beer without alcohol. You’ll be dead in the water if you can’t get people to your website.
* Conversion: Now this step is crucial! Even if you can drive tons of traffic to your website, but you don’t convert any of them, your result would be “El Zilcho” as well. You need to learn how to convert your traffic into leads, leads into buyers and those buyers into repeat customers and raving fans!
Now let’s pause…
If you get good at these two things, you have more than enough to make your business successful and replace your job’s income.
Income disclosure: I’m not going to guarantee you will be successful, make millions or even a penny. Your results are 100% dependent on the time, energy and yes money you put into your business.
That being said, the third skill:
* Systems: This part is all about scaling your business. Putting some automation in place to do some of the repetitive work. Think about a highly converting sales funnel: If you put the traffic into it on the front end, that funnel will convert these people at a certain rate.
Now once you combine these three you have all the skills you need to become a successful internet marketing, in whatever niche you want to be in.
Where to start?
Now you’re probably thinking:
“Sure, it’s nice to know these skills, but how do I get started?”
Start with conversion!
Why start out with traffic, or even building systems when you don’t even know how to get somebody to take the next step?
It’s this simple:
If you cannot get anybody to take action, you’re not going to get any leads, you’re not going to make any sales, and you can absolutely forget about making any money.
Allow me to help you with that.
Increasing your conversions!
This is a subject I could talk about for hours and hours at a time. Because I’ve spent a lot of time and a lot of money to learn about this.
But I’ll be respectful of your time ;).
What I’m going to share with you is one little thing that will boost your conversions even if most of your marketing just plain sucks.
You’ve probably heard people say that people like to buy from people that they know, like and trust. And it’s absolutely true, without a shadow of a doubt.
Just having people trust you, trust your recommendations and listen to your advice… now that’s incredibly powerful!
But how do you do it?
Unfortunately I need to tell this part, and I’d much rather not have to share this part:
The first step is caring about other people.
When I see some marketers and their stuff (especially in the make money online niche) it just breaks my heart. No integrity, little honesty and a ton of crap, false promises and what not.
Obviously there are a lot of good marketers out there that really do care about helping other people. But this is not the case for everyone, which makes me sad.
Anyway, that’s my little rant.
What I want you to take away from it is that you need to care about helping people and to do business with integrity and honestly.
Believe me, doing this will help you more than most of the “tricks” others will teach you.
Building your “trust factory”
One of the best, if not the best thing you can do to build trust is to help people solve their problems.
The key word here is “value”.
When you teach people something, it gives you status of authority. As long as you know what you’re talking about (and don’t sound like an idiot).
What it also does is this:
When people take the stuff you teach, implement it and get results. You’ve just gained a lot of trust with that person.
Their trust goes up for two reasons:
1. They have gotten results, which means what you teach actually works (expert status)
2. It shows you care about them, because you’re there to help them
Which is why I like blogging.
Blogging isn’t just about getting traffic from Google and viral traffic from people sharing your blog post using your social share buttons (nudge, nudge).
It allows you to share useful information with the world and build massive amounts of goodwill and trust before people even enter your funnel.
But it doesn’t just end there.
You can do this with your existing list as well, build trust with them and attract more traffic to yourself at the same time. :)
